5 nights from R46 900 per person sharing Travel Dates: 14 Jun – 19 Jun 2025 19 Jul - 24 Jul 2025 26 Jul - 31 Jul 2025 Route and Experience: The train departs from Victoria Falls Station in Zimbabwe and travels southwards through Botswana and South Africa, ending at Rovos Rail's private station in Pretoria. The journey typically takes around 4 days (3 nights), passing through some of Southern Africa's most stunning landscapes. You'll experience the transition from the lush, wildlife-rich areas near Victoria Falls to the more arid regions of Botswana and the diverse landscapes of South Africa. Accommodation: Onboard, you can choose from three types of suites - Pullman, Deluxe, and Royal. Each suite is decorated to reflect the elegance of a bygone era, with rich wood panelling and luxurious amenities. The Royal Suite, for instance, occupies half a carriage and includes a spacious lounge and a bathroom with a Victorian bathtub. Dining: Meals are served in the dining cars, where you'll enjoy gourmet cuisine prepared by onboard chefs using fresh, local ingredients. The dining experience is formal, with an expectation of dressing appropriately for dinner. Meals include all drinks, except for champagne, which is available at an additional cost. Excursions: The journey includes various off-train excursions. One notable stop is in Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe's largest game reserve, where passengers can enjoy a game drive to see lions, elephants, and other wildlife.
